Meghan Williams, Pharm.D., BCPS, has joined the staff at Union Hospital's Family Medicine Center Meghan Williams, Pharm.D, BCPS(FMC) as a full-time Clinical Pharmacist. Williams, a Terre Haute native, has been at Union since 2011 as an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist. In that role, she was also involved in the education of Union's pharmacy residents, serving as a preceptor during the residents' cardiology and nutrition support rotations. Similarly, in her new position, she will serve as Pharmacy faculty for the Family Medicine Residency.
She will present didactic lectures to residents, facilitate patient education groups for management of chronic disease states, and participate in the delivery of comprehensive patient care in the family medicine clinic. Williams attained her Doctor of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University in 2010 and completed her residency at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.
The FMC averages about 2000 visits each month. The clinic, currently located just southwest of the Professional Office Building (POB), will be moving into a new 24,000 square foot space on the second floor of the POB in August.
