The Union Hospital Family Medicine Residency has been selected as a recipient of the 2015 AAFP Senior Immunization Grant Award! The American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation awarded the grant for the project entitled, "Working in Teams: A Community Effort to Improve Senior Immunization Rates." The grant will provide $10,000 to the Union Hospital Family Medicine Residency to provide health education to patients and the community as well as free flu and pneumonia vaccinations. Resident physicians are scheduled to speak at local Dine with a Doc luncheons throughout the community from October 2015 through March 2016 to educate seniors on a variety of health topics and administer vaccinations.
